The demand for police resources has overwhelmed the supply. The only solution to this dilemma is setting priorities for policing by consent, and explaining them far and wide. Precision policing can do this in reference to metrics like the Cambridge Crime Harm Index, and to strategies such as proactive prevention of harm. This applies just as much to police wellness as to community wellness, with both depending on better digital tools.
