Carolyn leads research for OPCSA, supporting the delivery of the NPCC’s Science and Technology strategy. She connects UK and global expertise to embed science and technology across policing, shaping priorities from research to operational practice. With a background in Forensic Science, Forensic Archaeology, and a Doctorate in Criminal Justice, Carolyn has held leadership roles in Crime Scene Investigation since joining Hampshire Constabulary in 1995. She continues to contribute to forensic science nationally and internationally and is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Portsmouth.
